Heather's 30th Birthday

I can't believe I have a daughter that is 30...that makes me feel old! Although I have to say that she is the best daughter anyone could ever have. I remember going into labor Christmas night and timing my contractions as Ron slept. Finally at 6:00 A.M. I decided that I had better wake him up and get to the hospital. She was born a little after noon on the 26th. She was the best present I ever got for Christmas. After two miscarriages and almost six years of marriage I was so excited to finally have a baby. She also was the best baby...she went to sleep at 7:00 P.M. and would sleep until 7:00 A.M. and still take naps during the day. I thought this is great let's have another...Ronnie came 23 months later, and didn't sleep through the night until he was two and that was because I was expecting Christopher and I finally didn't run to him all the time. Christopher by the way was a really good baby too. Sorry Ronnie, I still love you though! I scanned a picture of Heather when she was a baby but I couldn't figure out how to get it on this blog. It was really cute!!! We're glad we got to spend part of Heather's birthday with her and her family. We went to Peter Piper Pizza so the kids could have fun and then we went back to my house for cherry cheese cake. Then they had to hit the road. Poor Heath had to drive all the way home and go to work the next morning. We did pretty good saying goodbye except for Faith. She was crying and Sophie would say it's OK, I'm staying here. (It was cute) Ethan kept running back and jumping into my arms and telling me how much he loved me. I sure will miss all of them. Thank you again Heath for bringing your family down and letting us enjoy all of you. Happy Birthday Heather. We love you and will miss you!

WE HAD A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND HOPE THAT YOU ALL DID TOO!!!

Heather's family came for Christmas this year. We were so excited to see all of them. The last time I saw them (the boys and Heath) was August 1. Heather and the girls had came in September and stayed a few days. Everyone else hadn't seen the boys since last June at the beach in San Diego. They got in Saturday morning around 4:30-5:00 A.M. A very long drive but they got here safely!!! Thanks Heath for driving them all here. We all appreciate you for bringing our family to us. It was so much fun.
On Saturday I fixed Tyson ( some BACON..which he loves) and eggs and french toast. The kids loved playing outside in the sunshine. Faith was so excited to see them. Sophie ran outside when Faith got here and just hugged her. It was so cute. They had so much fun playing with each other. Later in the day I had a scavenger hunt for them like I did a couple of years ago for Tyson and Ethan for our Grandma Slumber Party. This time instead of just two kids I had six participating. They had so much fun following the clues. At the end there was a bag full of presents for each of them. (Color books, crayons, cars for the boys and princess puzzles for the girls). We made a gingerbread house and we played UNO Attack. They watched the Polar Express movie too. It was so much fun and I loved being with my grandchildren. They are my JOY and I miss them so much when they are not here.
On Sunday I made breakfast burritos and I peeled a lot of potatoes (with Tyson's help). Thanks Tyson! Grandma appreciates you!!! You're always helping whenever I need anything. You're such a great grandson and example to all the other kids. We went to Sacrament and came home and finished our Christmas Eve dinner. Consisting of Ham (cooked underground by Paul Cluff, a good friend), cheesy potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, fruit salad, rolls, (pumpkin and apple pie). It was yummy! We then let the kids open a present before they went to bed. They all slept in the weight room, the hall and the doorways until after Santa came.
On Christmas Day the kids looked in their stockings and then when everyone was up and moving they opened their presents. It was fun to see their excitement and joy in their gifts. Christopher, Bailey, and Brody came over for breakfast of Belgium Waffles with strawberries and whip cream, eggs, juice and bacon. Yum, Yum! Ronnie and Aleia and the girls came over after they visited with Aleia's family. We had left overs through out the day and visited. Mommo and Ron's mom came over for breakfast too. We exchanged gifts again. We had a wonderful Christmas and are so thankful that we have such a wonderful family.
We love all of you and hope to see you soon. I'll post pictures tomorrow. because it is late and I'm going to go to bed. Tootle-Lou as Poppo would say!!! We love you Poppo!!!

Little Red Cabin

Last weekend we went with Ronnie and Aleia to their Little Red Cabin. It was fun but cold and definitely an adventure. I accidentally locked our keys in the truck. Ronnie called Onstar and we signed up for $16. You have to be in your vehicle to activate it so they had to send someone from Show Low to open it. The poor guy had a thin jacket on and was freezing. He finally got it opened. A neighbor of Ronnie that lives there year round brought us some hot chocolate. That was really kind of them and it warmed us up. When we left around 10:00 P.M. it was 3 degrees outside. We saw a herd of elk as we were driving out. It was way cool to see them. We went to Connie and Homer's to sleep because the cabin was only 60 degrees inside and that was a little to cold for Jaylee (and me). Connie picked up some pizza for us. Thanks Connie, we appreciate it and for letting us spend the night!!! We went back the next day and let Faith go sledding. She had a blast. We all took a turn. It was fun. Christopher , Bailey, and Brody came by after they cut down a Christmas tree. Aleia was listening to the radio in their Tahoe and the battery went dead. Luckily we have 4 wheel drive and Ron drove around and jumped it. Aleia and I just laughed over everything. What can we say? We still had a good time. I just wish Heather's family was with us to. I really miss all of them. Posted by Picasa

Thanksgiving Day

We spent Thanksgiving Day at Christopher and Bailey's home with Bailey's family. There was around 50 people there. Mommo and Linda went with us. We had yummy food and lots of it!!! Bailey's family is really nice and we're thankful to have her in our family. She is a great mother to Brody and Christopher is a wonderful father. Ronnie and Faith came by to cook his wild turkey in Christopher's deep fryer. They spent their Thanksgiving with Aleia's family. Heather's family was with Heath's family in Utah eating 18 pies!!! Maybe next year I can have all of my children together. I'm thankful for my children and their spouses and of course my 12 grandchildren!!! I've got a wonderful mother who loves me and 3 fantastic sisters that I love with all of my heart! Ron and my extended family are the best and I'm grateful each of them. So...remember I love each of you!!! OK, quit the mushy stuff! I could keep on going on what I'm thankful for but I guess I'll stop for now. I've been having trouble downloading my pictures on this blog so I had to use this Picasa. It worked! Hopefully I'll figure out why I can't do it the other way.

My little Jaylee Joy!!! To much excitment for one night!

INTRODUCING: BRODY KEITH MICHAEL

Grandma's kisses have begun!!!

FIRST VISIT TO GRANDMA'S HOUSE.
Brody came to visit on his way home from the hospital. We are so exciting to have this new little guy in our family.
For some reason I haven't been able to download any pictures since I changed to this Beta thing...Help Katie!! Things are good. I talked to Heather and they are home safely. It was hard for them to leave the girls. Bailey is doing much better since she had that blood patch. I'm glad she didn't have to wait around being sick. She looks great!!! Her and Christopher are sure proud of their little guy, who by the way, I'm holding at this very moment. They ran to the store and I'm babysitting for the first time. Oh darn!!! He is so cute. As soon as I figure out how to download again I'll put some of my pictures of him on it. Toodle-lou for now, baby time!!!

Call From Porto Rico

Heather called yesterday afternoon from Porto Rico. The plane had some trouble with its landing gear. They needed to leave Haiti by dark because it gets dangerous so they headed there. She said they would get to Miami about 1:00 A.M. and then had to leave at 6:00 A.M. for Utah. We only talked a few minutes because I was worried about the roaming charges. She did say the baby (Sarah) cried when she left and was reaching out for her. I can just imagine that little babies heart. She had no idea what was going on. I know it will be hard for her to not have the attention she got from them while they were there. The twins were almost emotionless. (What would they be thinking? Are they really coming back? Don't get our hopes up.) Hopefully the process in Haiti will go faster than we anticipate so these little girls can get to their new home and get settled in to their new life. They are so lucky to get Heath and Heather as their parents and to get to grow up in America. We are so blessed here and we need to appreciate it.

Bailey will hopefully be feeling better soon. She has been sick with a headache and throwing up. We found out today it was from the epidural. She'll have to explain it better when she feels up to getting on her blog. She had to have a blood patch at the hospital today and Christopher said it really helped. Brody is such a cutie pie! We were over there last night to take Christopher some dinner. Nicole , Josh, Meagan, and Brooklyn came over. We took pictures of Brody and Brooklyn together. Brody is bigger and two weeks younger. He's a boy and is supposed to be big and strong!!! Pictures will be coming soon!!!

Ronnie Lee Michael Jr. 28th Birthday

28 years ago I gave birth to this big guy! Ronnie Lee Michael Jr.. He has been an active young man since he was in my tummy!!! I love him dearly and I am thankful he is my son.
Happy Birthday Ronnie!!!

Haiti news

Heather called Saturday afternoon. It was so good to here from her. She said Haiti is the hottest place in the world, because of the humidity. No use in wearing make up because you're drenched in sweat within 5 minutes of putting it on. The girls have warmed up to them pretty good. One of the twins is more timid than the other. She had them both say, "Hi, Grandma" to me. Then she asked them if they wanted to sing me a song. They sang a beautiful song in their language. They sounded like little angels and so sweet. It sounded like they said the words, child, God, and the Savior at different parts of the song. I felt their spirits and it touched my heart dearly. I had tears and then what do you know...we got disconnected. I can't wait to meet them. I hope they will be able to come soon. Heather did get a little sick last night but Heath has done OK so far. Anyway, it sounds like they are having a good experience and are bonding with the girls. They are working hard in the new orphanage during the day. I was hoping she would call back so I could ask her some questions, but she didn't. She probably couldn't get through, plus it probably cost a fortune to call here. Anyway, I'm excited to talk to her again. Keep them in your prayers for their safety and for the girls to be well and safe. Especially, Wednesday and Thursday when they have to leave them there. I know it will be hard on all of them. I can't wait to see these little girls someday. I know Heavenly Father wants them to be in their family and he will help them through the years of raising all of their children. How lucky they all are to have each other.

BRODY KEITH MICHAEL IS HERE!!!

Well, Brody came finally at 2:24 A.M. Sunday morning on Uncle Ronnie's 28th birthday, November 12th. He is a cutie!!! Weighing in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. (closer to 2 oz), 20 and 1/2 " long with a 13 and 1/2" head. Bailey was a pro in the delivery room. Everything went well except she got upset to her stomach. BLah....at least she didn't get it on me. Christopher is one proud daddy!!! I can't post any pictures until Bailey does. (Strict orders, which I understand) So, maybe tonight, or in a couple of days she will be up to putting some on her blog. They are supposed to come home this afternoon sometime. Of course I am one proud GRANDMA and Ron is one proud GRANDPA. We're are so glad that Brody is finally here and is a member of our family.

BRODY IS COMING!!!

Bailey is in the hospital, admitted, and in a room. It is 7:45 P.M. right now and she is dilated to a four. So...I'll be going to the hospital pretty soon. He will probably be born after midnight so he will be born on Ronnie's 28th birthday. Unless he decides to make a hastier delivery. Which I'm sure Bailey and Christopher wouldn't mind. We'll inform you in the morning.

Sweet Little Jaylee

I took some pictures like this of Faith when she was first born. I thought I'd do it with Jaylee too. It gives you an idea of how big she is. She is growing so fast and is smiling and trying to find her voice. It is fun to watch her. Faith loves her so much and so do the rest of us.
