What a hard worker Ethan is!
I just finished helping Ethan (4th grader) with homework! It's 9:13. He's been doing it since 4:00. A break to eat is all. His teacher wanted him to do all his makeup work tonight. (3 days absent) I think that's a little to much....now he has to read for 45 minutes! Everyone would like to have him for a student. He worked so hard and was determined to finish. He did the work and I checked it. He knew how to do 99% of it on his own. I'm really proud of him! His teacher is really a hard teacher. He hasn't had recess for a month (and most of the rest of the class) because he has to read to catch up for AR points from the beginning of the year. Excuse me....he started right after Labor Day. He shouldn't have to worry about the previous month. He went to school in Utah since July. We'll see how the next few weeks go!

Brody and Rigden had their birthdays
Brody turned four on Nov. 12 and Rigden turned two on the 26th. Christopher and Bailey had left on a Carribean Cruise on the 12th so we celebrated the boys birthday together on the 23rd. Christopher rented a huge game truck. It was a blast for all the kids and the adults. It had four big screens to play about any video game that you wanted to play and the back of the truck opened up and you could play Guitar Hero. It was really a fun and a special night. Bailey's family came over and Gary's family. We had pizza for dinner. Connie and Homer came by and my neighbors came and sang along too. What a way to celebrate a birthday!
Thanksgiving 2010
This year we had my mom and Ronnie's family over. I fixed all the food except for the deviled eggs and cheesecake that Aleia made. Thanks Alei..they were yummy! Heather's family went to Utah and Christopher was with Bailey's family. Hopefully next year it will be our turn for all of our family to be together. Since we didn't have all of them on Thursday we had Christopher and Heather's family over for dinner on Sunday. We had a fun night. We played a fun word game that was on Heath's
I -phone. We really had fun. The kids that could read played and really did a great job. The little ones played, colored the walls, got in the Q-Tips and other things. They had fun though. Ron...did the dishes. Yeah! Thanks Ron! Then he came and played the game. It was a fun night and I really enjoyed it! Love my family! I only wish Ronnie's family could have been here too.

Fall Break!!!
I am so ready for fall break this year. It has been a tough 9 weeks learning the new ropes in autism. I follow three boys around, but mainly I am really working with one. We're trying to figure out what he really knows, what he has gotten away with, and how to help him in the best way. They are really sweet boys and we want to do what is best for each of them. I really feel for the teachers! They have been given so much and need more help. Hopefully, things will get better!
On another note...I am excited for "Time Out For Women," this Friday and Saturday. My sisters, our daughters and daughters-in-laws are all going. It will be a great break from our normal life to grow spiritually and just to be together. Sariah is even flying down to be with us! I wish everyone could be here. We will miss those of you that can't go!!!

One to two days!!!
I can't believe Heather and her family are moving back to Arizona! They should be here Thursday evening or some time Friday. It's been a long 5 and a half years! Although it has been hard not having her and her family here, I think we have had some experiences that made us closer. I remember the late night talks with my grandsons and granddaughters....I will cherish forever, the skits or stories....let's not forget "Cowboy Bill and Cowgirl Annie!" I would make up stories and then when I would go back for a visit they would want me to tell them again and again. I couldn't really remember some of them very well but I did the best that I could. It was fun though. We had a lot of laughs, that's for sure. Our visit to Bear Lake is another memory. Oh, how I love all of my grandkids. The ones that have been here and the ones in Utah. Now they will all be here and I am beyond excited!! Now all the cousins can really get to know each other. We are so excited!

Heather's coming home!
I don't want to get to excited, (yeah right) but it looks like Heather and her family are moving back to Arizona!!! Heath has a job offer and they are going to be moving back! Are we excited? What do you think? I'm still afraid that it won't really happen and probably won't believe it until they are actually here! She wants me to go and look at a few house for them. So.....here we go!

Emmie Check, an Angel from Heaven
This past week I've been reading about Emmie Check's struggle to live, on her Aunt's blog. 14babyblues.blogspot.com Emmie, is Tiffany and Jason Check's sweet little 81/2 year old daughter. She returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday August 12. Her Aunt wrote about her last few days here on earth and it was written beautifully. You could feel the heartache, but you could also feel the spirit. We mourn with those that mourn. I would check the blog several times a day to find out if there had been a change. I cried, my heart ached for each of them. I offered prayers for each of them throughout the days. My heart breaks for her family. Emmie struggled right after birth and was blessed to stay and be nurtured by her wonderful mother and father. Tiffany has given her life to this sweet little angel along with her two other angels. I can't imagine how she feels.
I went to High School with Emmie's Grandma Debbie and we had so much fun hanging out together. Tiffany and Heather were good friends all through their growing up years from Stars, to Jr High cheer, high school cheer, and dance. Although I didn't really know Emmie personally, I feel like I did. I've read Tiffany's blog throughout the years and have always admired her and all that she did for Emmie. Emmie will crown her as the best mother ever, I'm sure! Life is precious! Each of our children are precious. May we all stop and give each child a special hug and thank our Heavenly Father for letting us rear them here on this earth. I'm so thankful for the gospel and the Plan of Salvation. What a comfort it is when the hard times come.
To my own children; Heather and Heath, Ronnie and Aleia, Christopher and Bailey and to my grandchildren: Tyson, Ethan, Andrew, Jonah, Sophie, Sarah, Saige, Grace, Faith, Jaylee, Brody, and Rigden....I love you, you are my life. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Tyson tonsils out!
Tyson had his tonsils out on Monday! (7-26-10) The poor boy! The following Sunday (they were bleeding quite a bit so they took him to the hospital to get him checked out. They ended up having to hook him up to an I.V. because he was really dehydrated. Then the very next day he started bleeding again. Heather said he was filling the sink with blood so they took him back to the hospital. This time they took him back into surgery. They said he lost a lot of blood on the way to the operating room. They found three holes in his throat that they had to cauterize. He spent the night in the hospital and came home later the next morning. He seem to be doing better today. (8-8-10) I'm so glad that he is doing better and starting to eat a little more solids. The poor kid will never want to get any type of surgery again.

Happy Birthday to Me!
I can't believe how old I am getting. Saturday Ron and I decided to drive to Payson for the day. We had lunch at Macky's and just happened to see Ronnie and Kevin there. After lunch we decided to drive up to see Gary and Judy's cabin. They are adding on to it and it is really going to be nice. Kelli, Dustin and their two children were there. It was great to see them and their little ones. We stayed for a yummy steak dinner and then we headed home around 9:00. It was a beautiful day and gorgeous weather. It was in the 60"s. Loved it! Sunday the first was my birthday. I fixed enchilada's and invited Ronnie and Christopher's families over. Christopher bought me a yummy ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Thanks!!! It was yummy! It was a great day!

Faith and Jaylee
Faith and Jaylee spent the night last night. We had met them at the movies with their mom and dad to see Karate Kid. Jaylee was so sad that they weren't going to go to our house afterwards. So....Grandma couldn't stand seeing her heart so sad and took them home with me. Faith fell asleep around midnight and then Jaylee (the sweetie!) woke up at 5:30 A.M. So needless to say, I'm tired! They went swimming most of the day. Jaylee decide that she was going to swim today. I am so proud of her. She has really been scared about it but today she just started swimming. She would swim to Faith and then float on her back. Over and over again. We couldn't wait to show her mommy. She was so excited and Faith too. Faith was having Jaylee call her teacher. It made Faith swim even better than she usually does. She would show Jaylee how to move her arms and kick her legs. Anyway, they were having a lot of fun. I'm so proud of both of them and how well they are swimming! After they left I went and got my mom and took her to Serano's for dinner and then to Walmart to get some things she needed. Ron had gone with Ronnie and Kevin to check on some camera's in the woods near Payson. He was pretty tired and felt out of shape. Busy couple of days, I'm tired!

Biopsy
On Tuesday the 15th I had to get a biopsy. The mammogram and needle was the worst part. The actual surgery wasn't bad since I was sound asleep. Thanks goodness! I had some calcifications that had changed since my last mammogram so they wanted to play it safe. So, I had it done. I'm a little sore but not to bad. I took the meds they gave me the first day and that was it. They gave me nightmares and I said no way! I should get the result the first of next week and then I'm heading to Utah to see Heather and her family. Excited to go!!!!

Boys Stay over.
We had Brody and Rigden stay with us since Wednesday night. They really are sweet little boys. They did really good and we had a great time with them. Thursday we swam a lot. Faith and Jaylee came over and went swimming. On Friday we visited Mommo, went swimming and then had Pei Wei for dinner. YUM! YUM! On Saturday we swam again in the morning and watched Sponge Bob. We went swimming, had lunch and our banana popsicles again on Saturday and then Rigden snoozed and Brody and I just chilled while we watched Sponge Bob again. He loves that cartoon! . We went to our Ward Annual Ice Cream Social later that evening. YUM! The boys walked in the back yard holding hands and Brody kissed Rigden several times. Everyone thought they were the cutest and sweetest boys. Which they are. I loved showing them off. Oh my gosh! The weather was perfect outside for our Ice Cream Social. The boys had a blast playing and eating their ice cream (with gummy bears)! Brody loved going down the giant slide and playing with all the other children. I've have enjoyed these two little guys so much. They did so well and behaved so well while their mom and dad were gone. They slept really good at night too which is absolutely great! I couldn't ask for more! I am so blessed with the best kids and grandkids in the world!
(I'm going to post pictures once I figure out how to do it again!!!)

Sister's Get Away (late post)

I actually wrote this in March. We did this outing during my Spring Break.
This year instead of going away to the mountains to a cabin my sisters all came down here. We thought this time we would spend our time with our sweet mother. Wednesday night they arrived and Connie and Eileen spent the night at my house. Linda stayed with my mom at her place though. We got up Thursday morning and went for a long walk all around the the Riparian across the street from me. We walked about two or three miles around it. After we showered and got cleaned up we took mom to buy her some new shoes and had lunch at the mall. Then we headed for the Marriot in Chandler. We had a real nice room.
Friday, we got up and exercised in the hotel workout room and then we went and picked up mom and took her out to lunch at Serano's and then off to Walmart to get her shopping done. Linda wanted to stay with her that evening so Eileen, Connie, and I went back to the hotel. We changed and went in to the Jacuzzi. It felt so good and was so relaxing. After that we watched a movie.
Saturday morning we got up and met Linda and mom at the Temple. We had mom and Aunt Fleda sealed to their parents. Josh came to help. Mom looked like an angel all dressed in white. Afterwards, Aleia met us outside the Temple and took pictures of us. Thank you Aleia. We then went to lunch and then my sisters all headed home. I took my mom home and then went to Target and then home to finish working on my primary lesson.
Ron had been at a swap meet all day and is totally worn out! Is he getting old or what? Anyway, we had a good time with mom, but I think she may get down since everyone has gone home. So...everyone call her and let her know you love her!

Fun up North
While we were in ShowLow for Shauna's wedding we stayed at the Porter"s cabin in Pinetop. Christopher, Bailey, Brody, and Rigden came and stayed with us. Brody and I built a couple of snowmen and had a lot of fun. Here's a few pictures of our weekend.
